The main part of the next issue of the alamanc is the study of Irina G. Konovalova devoted to the analysis of medieval Arabic sources on the history of early feudal Moldavia. Based on the conclusions about the composition, content and origin of information about the Carpatho-Dniester lands in Arab monuments, the author considers important problems of the ethno-political history of early feudal Moldavia. The alamanac also includes several articles on the history and source studies of the earliest states on the territory of the USSR. The “Reviews” section contains a historiographic review summing up the results of the study of “Izbornik Svyatoslav” of 1073. The book ends with a chronicle of the scientific life of the Department of the History of the Earliest States on the Territory of the USSR of the Institute of History of the USSR of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1988.
