The Earliest States on the Territory of the USSR. 1978: Rydzevskaya E.A. Old Rus' and Scandinavia in the 9th-14th centuries (Materials and Research). Мoscow: Nauka, 1978
This issue publishes the scientific heritage of the outstanding Soviet Scandinavian Elena A. Rydzevskaya, who died in Leningrad, besieged by the Nazis. Respect for the work of mentors is a trait inherent in Soviet science. The creative heritage of Elena A. Rydzevskaya is especially precious, because it belongs to the field of science that urgently requires deep development. This heritage consists of two parts - translations of texts from Scandinavian sources and scientific articles that are closely interconnected and serve to explain Russian-Scandinavian relations in the 9th-14th centuries, to critically revise the dogmas of vulgar Normanism.
