The almanac includes two monographs. Monograph by Tatyana N. Jackson is devoted to the analysis of the Icelandic royal sagas containing information on the history of Old Rus', the Eastern Baltic and the Russian North. Monograph Irina P. Starostina is a study and publication of the little-studied ancient legislative monument of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania - the Sudebnik of Casimir of 1468. Pashuto and the characteristics of the work of the department of the history of the earliest states on the territory of the USSR of the Institute of History of the USSR of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR for 1986-1987.
